PROGRAM SERVICES

PAL = Police Athletic League

This is a proactive program in which law enforcement and youth work together and build bridges of communication and understanding. For more information speak with your local law enforcement agency about forming or volunteering as a PAL staff member.

JAMS = Just Another Means of Success

This program was first started in Texas by a personal friend, Amon Rashidi. The program is such that gang members and youth in crisis are taken 40 miles from home into a wooded area and forced to depend on each other for 7 to 14 days. The program requires and additional 14 days of  follow up. This is a strong reality program for troubled youth.

DARE = Drug Awareness Resistance Education

Dare is a law enforcement program that requires educators and law enforcement to work together in a proactive setting to educate our youth who are in early grades (K-7). The program is design to teach kids to be aware of the pitfalls of drugs and to have an open dialogue on the issue from the beginning of the year to the end.

Recently the program has come under strong Opposition from some agencies that feel that DARE does not do enough to address the concerns of our youth. The National Concerned Officers Organization believe that if DARE saves one (1) child a year, than the program is worth its weight in gold a we strongly support it. The fact of the matter is, DARE has saved hundreds of kids each year..

GREAT = Gang Resistance Education And Training

GREAT is also a program that requires educators and law enforcement to work together in a proactive setting to educate our youth who are in early grades. The program is design to teach kids to be aware of the pitfalls of gangs and to establish  an open dialogue on the issue of gangs.

MD = Midnight Basketball

Midnight Basketball has proven it self over and over again to be the number one recreational team sport that motivates kids into doing the right thing as it address the issues of fair play, teamwork, self discipline, control, attention to detail and team spirit while at the same time pointing out the hard facts that gangs, drugs, unsafe sex, racial hate, weapons possession and drug sales are wrong. This program brings everyone to the table: Parents, Teachers, Police, Judges, Social Workers, Gangs members, Kids in Crisis, Good kids and many others to address the common good.

JSC = Johnny Someone’s Child

Johnny Somones' Child was developed by Coach Williams out of Norfolk, Virginia Boys and Girls Club. With the use of a real casket and several kids as actors and members of the community acting as adults he and his club put on a live show, in which they role play Johnny as a drug dealer, gang member or someone involved in a hate crime. As A result of Johnny's actions he is killed on Any Street USA and a mock funeral now takes center stage as we hear about the life of Johnny from family, friends, and ex-gang members. L. Louis Jordan with the express permission of Coach Williams have put this program on at a number of locations around the United States. As each person pass by this casket they are required to deposit a piece of paper with the name of a person (young or old) whom they know are in crisis and what kind of help they require.

I-CRY= Inner City Roundtable of Youth

I-Cry is a very simple program in which 3 or 4 adults meet  and listen to our youth as they share their concerns with respect to the community, the state of the nation, or just life. The responsibility of the adults is to all the youth to choose the topic and to keep it focus once it starts and to honestly take their shared concerns to the person's who are able to address them and to ensure that they are not just place on a back burner.

S&B = Stake and Burger

This is an excellent fund raiser while at the same time getting the business community a chance to invest in a child for a year. The stage is set when a young juvenile who is interested in a certain field of study, i.e. lawyer, doctor, police, business owner, etc. come together with a child who share the same interest in the spirit of common ground (food, communication, and music). They discuss their shared feelings and vision over dinner (Stake for the kid and a Hamburger for the adult). The out come is amazing.

YOU = Youth Opposed to Using Drugs

ASTEP = After School Tutorial Education Program

This program helps, aids and assist young teens and adults to take a step in the right direction by assisting them with their homework or extra help that they may need in order to maintain a good grade in school. The program takes the extra step by also focusing in on family life and assisting to help put families back together through trips and other hands on programs.

YTY = Youth To Youth of N.J.

Youth to Youth of New Jersey is a program that gives our youth a change to express themselves in several ways. This program is self-contained and flexible to the needs of our youth.

POLR = Path Of Least Resistance

JO = Journey

Journey is a program that is very much like outward bound. It is an out door program that cause kids to get in touch with their inner feels and to learn to open up and share. At the end of the program kids walk away with a since that they can face any problem if they learn to lean on their brother or sister by sharing and being 100% open and honest.

OB = Outward Bound

PU = Project Understanding

This program is about woman for woman. It is hear that young ladies are lead through a dialogue of topics addressing , men, sex, drugs, gangs, respect, child care and a host of other topics. Come and listen in on our Woman to Woman program. This program is led by Dorothy Carcamo.

Young teens experience a high rate of crime victimization then any other age group, twice that of the general adult population and ten times that of the elderly for violent crime.

Gangs and the violence they bring to communities, in the coming years will be a major problem for America if something is not done.  Young people are many times the victims and the victimizers. According to the FBI, "the fastest growing murder circumstance is juvenile gang killing." Almost one-third of Los Angeles homicides are gang related. Nationwide, the rate of violent offenses by gang members is three times as high as for non-gang delinquents.

Converting a young person's energy to familial provider/protector efforts his historically been the task of the intact family. An important aspect of today's teen development is helping  them learn about crime and its consequences and involving them in addressing these problems make the young people feel safer, reduces delinquency-related behaviors increases their self-esteem, and enhances their ties with the community.

We have done extensive research on the below topics and have experience tremendous success through education. Below is a list of seminars and training we are often asked to provide.
